A&E raises Silberman

Exec will continue to report to DeBitetto

A&E has promoted Dan Silberman to VP of publicity. He will run the corporate, trade and consumer aspects of the PR operation and work with A&E's sibling Biography Channel.

Silberman, who was senior director of publicity, will continue to report to Bob DeBitetto, exec VP-general manager of A&E. Both are based in New York.

Since he joined the cabler in May, Silberman has focused on original series including "Dog the Bounty Hunter" and "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" as well as off-network series such as "The Sopranos" and "CSI: Miami."

Before A&E, Silberman was director of press and publicity for Bravo. Earlier in his career, he was on the staff of New York praisery Rubenstein Associates.
