FremantleMedia inks deal with Yang

Ex-CNN reporter to develop lifestyle series

FremantleMedia Enterprises inked a first-look development deal with former CNN correspondent Serena Yang.

Yang and FME will develop four lifestyle series, including "The Beauty Hunter," "Truth, Love & Sex," "Bionic Living" and "Paradise Found."

Yang was West Coast correspondent for "World Beat," CNN's international music series. Recently, she created and produced "Eye of the Beholder" for Travel Channel and Discovery HD.

Yang joins Martha Stewart, Jamie Oliver, Bill Granger and Kylie Kwong, also developing lifestyle concepts for FME.

"As the creator, executive producer and host of these provocative shows, we see Serena as an innovative cultural scout for a new generation of globally minded viewers," FME CEO David Ellender said.
