The Screen Actors Guild has promoted Ray W. Rodriguez to the post of deputy national exec director of contracts.
Rodriguez, who has been SAG's deputy general counsel for the past three years, will report directly to national exec director Doug Allen and will oversee the contract departments. He'll assist Allen with all contract negotiations.
Tom La Grua, who has held the top contract post on an interim basis since Sallie Weaver's departure last year, has been given the newly created position of contracts executive director and will report to Rodriguez in helping to formulate bargaining strategy and managing staff.
La Grua, who had been a veteran actor and SAG board member, joined the Guild staff in 2002.
