Hudson makes Vogue first

Singer graces cover of fashion mag

Oscar-nominee Jennifer Hudson makes Vogue history as the first African-American songstress to grace the cover of the fashion mag.

Hudson will be the third African-American celebrity to make the cover. Oscar-winner Halle Berry and talk show queen Oprah Winfrey are the only other two black celebrities to make the front of the fashion rag since its debut in 1892.

Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz shot the former "American Idol" finalist at the Apollo Theater in Harlem.

The photo will be used in the annual Power Issue.
