Comedy Central has picked up debut comedy "The Sarah Silverman Program" for a second season.

Skein will get a seven-episode run in the fall, with another seven segs to run at a later date.

Irreverent show starring the standup star has averaged 1.7 million total viewers since it bowed last week. Show reps a rare effort from the net to target females instead of males, though the series also appeals to men.
