"Goodbye Bafana" helmer Bille August will next tackle a period romantic drama.

"It's an international production with an international cast along the same lines as 'Dangerous Liasions.' It's about people calculating with love," August said.

Helmer is set to start lensing this spring.

"Bafana," which is playing in Competition, tells the true story of a friendship that develops between Nelson Mandela (Dennis Haysbert) and prison guard James Gregory (Joseph Fiennes) during the South African leader's long imprisonment on Robben Island.

Blue Gold: World Water Wars
Alternately political and apolitical, pessimistic and optimistic -- but rarely, if ever, cinematic -- Sam Bozzo's "Blue Gold: World Water Wars" works best as a smallscreen educational docu that alerts its audience to the corporate raiding of dangerously diminishing H2O supplies worldwide.
