Weisz, Farrell make 'Music' film

Duo to star in Noyce's Outback drama

Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell will star in Phillip Noyce's "Dirt Music," an Outback drama based on Tim Winton's novel.

Pic is slated to shoot in August in North Western Australia.

Set against the extreme landscape of the Northern Territories, it's a love story about a woman (Weisz) struggling with isolation and loneliness in a remote community, whose passion for life is rekindled by a mysterious drifter (Farrell).

Noyce and his partner Miranda Culley are producing through their Rumbalara Films, with Jeremy Thomas of Recorded Picture as exec producer.

Hanway Films is handling worldwide sales.
