Spade, Rock to star in Columbia pic

Sandler's Happy Madison to produce

Columbia has pacted for an untitled comedy that will be written as a star vehicle for David Spade and Chris Rock. Spade will write the script with Fred Wolf and Adam Sandler's Happy Madison will produce.

Pic is about a turf battle between three families who vie for the same camping spot in a public park over a weekend.

Spade and Wolf previously co-wrote the films "Joe Dirt" and "Dickie Roberts." They have been working together since the latter was head writer on "Saturday Night Live" and Spade was a cast member.

Rock just co-wrote, directed and starred in the Fox Searchlight comedy "I Think I Love My Wife."
