Pic, helmed by Bill Guttentag, stars Eva Mendes as an ambitious TV exec determined to get gameshow contestants to play Russian Roulette for real on her show. Co-stars include David Krumholtz and Andre Braugher. Pic was produced by Roven, Alex Gartner and William Green.
Deal was announced as first collaboration between the Hong Kong- and Amsterdam-based sales agent and the prolific U.S. shingle. Roven's credits include "12 Monkeys," "Scooby-Doo" and "Batman Begins." Fortissimo got into the Guttentag business only last month when at Sundance it picked up world rights outside China to "Nanking," Guttentag and Dan Sturman's docu-like account of the 1937 "Rape of Nanking."
