The Village Voice's Off Broadway kudos, the Obie Awards, have tapped two TV celebs with solid roots in Gotham legit to host the 52nd annual ceremony: T.R. Knight ("Grey's Anatomy") and Cynthia Nixon ("Sex and the City") will emcee the event in May.

Before "Anatomy," Knight appeared regularly Off Broadway ("Boy," "Scattergood") and on it ("Noises Off"). Nixon has performed onstage since she was 14; she won a 2006 Tony for "Rabbit Hole" and last worked on the New York boards in the fall in Off Broadway production "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie."

The Obies are selected by a committee of critics and theater pros that includes at least two Voice staffers. There are no announced nominations and few set categories for the laurels.

Ceremony is set for May 21 at the New York U. Skirball Center.
