Lauren Stein has been upped to VP of drama programming at NBC Universal TV Studio.
Stein, part of the development team behind the Peacock's upcoming drama "The Black Donnellys," had been a director of drama. She reports to senior VP of drama programming Laura Lancaster.
In addition to overseeing in-production skeins such as "Las Vegas" and "Raines," Stein is a development exec on the Rand Ravich pilot "Life" and the adaptation of Candace Bushnell's "Lipstick Jungle."
Stein joined the Peacock in January 2002 as a member of the net's entertainment associate training program. She became a full-time staffer eight months later, landing a gig as manager of current series on the network side and working on skeins such as "Boomtown" and "American Dreams."
In early 2004, Stein jumped to NBC's studio division, joining as a director of drama.
