Friedman and Bencich will exec produce. Project was brought to Cooper by senior VP Orin Woinsky, who was originally involved in "Gullible's Travels" several years ago while an exec at Outlaw Entertainment.
Since Friedman and Bencich wrote the script, they have received credits on animated pics "Chicken Little," "Brother Bear" and "Open Season." They've also sold "The Missing Link" pitch to Disney and "The Treehouse" to Warner Bros.
Cooper's produced "John Tucker Must Die" for Fox and "Mr. Woodcock" for New Line, and he's developing "The Crusaders" for New Line.
