By ED MEZA

This year's Berlinale Special section, announced Thursday, highlights films on political events that left a mark on 20th century history.

Nine films, including five world premieres, will screen in the section, which showcases recent works by contemporary filmmakers, including Paolo and Vittorio Taviani's European co-production "La Masseria delle allodole" (The Lark Farm), about a family's effort to escape the Turkish massacre of Armenians in 1915; and Richard Trank's U.S. docu "I Have Never Forgotten You -- The Life and Legacy of Simon Wiesenthal," about the Nazi hunter, narrated by Nicole Kidman.
