Motion to finance 'Split'

Financing/production banner the Motion Picture Group has signed a deal to finance the next film of "Hounddog" writer-director Deborah Kampmeier.

Kampmeier's "Split" will be a drama set in New York City. Shooting is expected to start in the summer.

Scott Franklin, CEO of the Motion Picture Group, will produce along with "Hounddog" producer Raye Dowell. Motion Picture Group president Henri Kessler will exec produce.

Motion Picture Group produced "I Trust You to Kill Me," a 2006 docu with Kiefer Sutherland as a band manager hitting the road with one of his acts.
