Fink new chief marketing officer at Image

Homevid exec will report to COO Borshell

Image Entertainment has tapped Jeff Fink, a homevid exec with stints at Miramax and Artisan under his belt, as its chief marketing officer.

Fink will oversee worldwide programming and acquisitions, plus domestic sales, reporting to chief operating officer David Borshell.

Image, one of the vid biz's largest remaining indies, has been beefing up its programming lately and has an output deal for theatrical product with Relativity Media.

Fink was senior exec VP for Miramax Home Entertainment and prexy of sales and marketing for Artisan Entertainment.

He left Miramax to hang his own shingle last year, advising Bauer Martinez Entertainment and Anchor Bay on their homevid strategies.

At Artisan and its predecessor, Live Home Entertainment, Fink created campaigns for pics including "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and "The Blair Witch Project."

It was later acquired by Lionsgate, which subsequently tried but failed to take over Image.
