Discovery Networks Group has named Tom Cosgrove senior VP of programming for Discovery Channel, Discovery Times Channel, the Science Channel and Military Channel.
As senior VP of programming, Cosgrove will direct and manage programming activities for the networks' linear and new-media platforms. He will also have oversight of operational and P&L planning, new business development and international initiatives.
Before joining Discovery, Cosgrove served as general manager for TV Guide Channel. He also held senior management positions at ABC Family, Fox Family, Fox Kids and Fox Broadcasting, besides running his own consultancy.
In addition, Discovery has named Jeff Goldberg as VP of programming and scheduling and Hannah Beckerman as director of development.
