J. Wayne Anderson started out in the theatrical business when he was stationed at Camp Pendleton and oversaw the base's 33 screens. When he was sent to Vietnam, he set up the first military-run theater in country near Da Nang. After he left the services he signed on with Maryland-based R/C Theatres in 1970 managing one of their locations, before rising to president and CEO in 1996 and seguing to chair in 2005 when the company sold part of its circuit to Regal.
Mary Ann Anderson has been exec director of the National Assn. of Theater Owners since 1988 and is responsible for the administration and management of the trade org. Previously, she did stints at the Warner Research Collection and CBS Television's docudrama department.
This year's ShoWest will run March 12-15.
