'Gutenberg' gets second stint

Two-man tuner, propelled by a successful six-week run that ended Dec. 31 at 59E59 Theaters, will have a second Off Broadway stint at the Actors' Playhouse. Show runs ten weeks beginning Jan. 16, with an opening set for Jan. 21.
Written by Scott Brown and Anthony King, the musical originated with the Upright Citizens Brigade in 2003, played at the New York Musical Theater Festival in 2005 and then in London in 2006. Plot follows a pair of bumbling producers acting out their musical for potential backers.
Thesps Christopher Fitzgerald and Jeremy Shamos, who starred in the show at 59E59 Theaters, will reprise their roles at the Actors' Playhouse, under the direction of Les Freres Corbusier a.d. Alex Timbers.
Trevor Brown, Ron Kastner, Terry Allen Kramer and Joseph Smith produce "Gutenberg" in assocation with Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.
