Both will receive the President's Merit Award from the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences for their contributions to popular music. Event will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center immediately after the Grammys, which is being held next door at Staples Center.
Alpert and Moss signed acts such as Quincy Jones, Carole King, Cat Stevens, Sting, Sheryl Crow and Barry White.
NARAS will honor A&M Records founders Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss with its President's Merit Award.
