Elliott moves to WCBS

Weatherman moves from KCBS to East Coast

WCBS has inked a deal to bring weatherman John Elliott to the Eye's Gotham affiliate.

Elliott is coming from KCBS Los Angeles, where he has reported weather since 2004. Previously he was at NBC News and MSNBC and appeared weekday mornings on NBC's "Early Today."

The weather reporter has worked a broad range of jobs, from a stint as morning anchor to presidential campaign correspondent.

Elliott will serve as weathercaster for "CBS 2 News This Morning" and "CBS 2 News at Noon."
