WBTV sets up Safran

At ABC, Safran has an untitled drama in the works about a twentysomething woman who, after initially resisting, decides to join the family business: the Secret Service. Safran will exec produce with McG via the latter's WBTV-based Wonderland Sound & Vision.
At Fox, Safran has penned another hourlong drama, setting it up with WBTV-based Shepherd/Robin Prods. ("Nip/Tuck"). Potential skein has a sci-fi element, revolving around a pair of detectives who help clients go back in time to change what they most regret.
Safran will exec produce with Greer Shephard and Michael Robin. ABC and Fox both have made script commitments to the projects.
Safran's last TV project, "Bergdorf Blondes," was developed by WBTV for the now-defunct WB network last spring. He's currently developing indie features "Random Acts of Kindness" and "Match."
