Judge throws out Yari lawsuit over 'Crash'
Lawyers have 10 days to refile on two of the allegations

The four claims in Yari's lawsuit were dismissed Tuesday by a Superior Court judge. However, he allowed Yari's lawyers 10 days in which to refile on two of the allegations, including breach of implied contract.
Patty Glaser, one of his attorneys, said Wednesday that Yari will either refile or he will appeal the dismissal.
"My client has always felt he's right on the merits" of the case, she said.
Yari first arranged financing to make "Crash," an ensemble film that explored racism in Los Angeles through intersecting stories. He was one of six credited producers.
He sued in March after the Producers Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences named only two people as producers for purposes of Oscar credit.
Yari sued the guild and the academy, challenging the fairness of the procedure used to determine the credit.
However, he did not ask to be relisted as a producer, Glaser said.
"Crash" went on to win three Oscars in March, including best picture. The movie's co-writer and director Paul Haggis and credited producer Cathy Schulman accepted the statuettes at the awards ceremony.
