In New York, rookie leader "The Rachael Ray Show" dipped 5% to a 2.1, although nationally the skein hit its highest ratings in 10 weeks (3.7/15).
In addition to competing with holiday preparations, most strips had to contend with severe storms in the Northwest, which knocked out power to thousands and all Nielsen ratings in Seattle and Portland, Ore., on Dec. 14.
Among talkshows, many of which were in repeats, there was no growth. Top yakker "The Oprah Winfrey Show" hit a new season low, dropping 8% to a 6.0. Compared to last year, every talker was down by double digits except for "The Dr. Phil Show," which was off 6% to a 4.7.
"The Dr. Keith Ablow Show" came in second among the freshman talkers with a 1.1. Skein was unchanged week to week, as were "The Megan Mullally Show" at a 0.9 and "The Greg Behrendt Show" at a 0.8.
Elsewhere "Entertainment Tonight Weekend" was up 13% week to week to a 2.7 and up 17% year to year. "Access Hollywood Weekend" came in second place, gaining 13% for the week and the year to a 1.8.
Court, magazine and game shows were mostly down by single digits.
