The U.S. premiere of Jeff Jeffcoat's "Outsourced" will open the 18th annual Palm Springs Film Festival, which has unveiled the lineup for its Jan. 4-15 run. Closing-night film will be the North American preem of John Boorman's "The Tiger's Tail."

Fest announced a record-setting roster of 254 films from more than 70 countries.

International gala screenings include the U.S. preems of Lars von Trier's "The Boss of It All" and Paul Verhoeven's "Black Book." Q. Allan Brocka's "Boy Culture" will unspool in this year's traditional "Gay-la" screening.

Also on the sked: special presentations of "Inland Empire," "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Pan's Labyrinth." Last pic's director, Guillermo del Toro, will receive the festival's Intl. Filmmaker Award.

In addition, 55 of the 61 films up for this year's foreign-language film Oscar will be screened, as well as 17 films from Scandinavia.
