Sony, Universal and Warner Bros. have pacted with the Netco to distribute their titles, including a mix of day-and-date DVD releases and library pics, for sale and rental via digital download.
ClickStar is timing its launch to a special arrangement to release "10 Items" online just two weeks after its theatrical launch. Pic was partially funded by Intel.
The ThinkFilm distribbed drama has made $36,000 at 15 theaters over its first 10 days of release.
ClickStar will also have three broadband channels designed to promote its pics for sale -- science-themed channel Our Space, hosted by Freeman, a documentary-focused channel hosted by Danny DeVito and one for classic films hosted by Peter Bogdanovich.
Competing Web sites have seen only light demand for movie downloads in the past year, despite significant hype.
