Former Hollywood Reporter Block passes at 87

Mother of entertainment industry journalist Alex Ben Block

Anne Polivan Block, mother of entertainment industry journalist and former Hollywood Reporter and TV Week editor Alex Ben Block, died Nov. 28 in West Palm Beach, Fla., after a long illness. She was 87.

Besides her son and his actress wife Jodi Taylor, she is survived by two daughters; three granddaughters, including actress-singer Hayley Taylor Block; and two great-grandsons.
