'Olympiad' team forms

Stuber, Parent acquire comedy pitch for Universal

Scott Stuber and Mary Parent have acquired a comedy pitch for Universal set against the first ancient Olympics. Peter Segal ("The Longest Yard," "50 First Dates") will direct from a script being penned by Craig Cox and Jeff Cox.

Details of the project, tentatively known as "I, Thalus," are being kept under wraps.

In addition to Parent and Stuber, Segal and his partner, Michael Ewing, will produce.

Segal's other helming credits include "The Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps" and "Tommy Boy."

The Cox brothers also penned "Blades of Glory" for Paramount, which stars Jon Heder and Will Arnett and is set for release in March.
