The government's tender approving authority announced on Friday that Infinity@The Bay, a joint venture between leisure resort developer Genting Intl. and Star Cruises, won the contract to build the integrated resort.
Universal Studios will offer 22 attractions in seven themed worlds, including 16 attractions specially designed for Singapore. Performances will include the Crane Ballet and the resident show "La Vie" from Cirque du Soleil.
There also will be six new hotels, with a total of 1,830 rooms.
Infinity@The Bay will invest around $3.5 billion in the development.
