Wolfe picks up U.S. rights to 'Four Minutes'

Pic, written and directed by Chris Kraus, centers on the relationship between an elderly piano teacher and a female convict at a women's prison.
"Four Minutes" saw its U.S. preem in the World Cinema section at last month's AFI Fest and was also repped at the American Film Market. It sold to Brazil (Bitelli Films), Argentina (Alfa Films), Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and the former Yugoslavia (Prooptiki).
Another AFI-AFM pic, "Your Life in 65 Minutes," has been acquired by Strand Releasing from Madrid-based Latido. Dark comedy, which begins in a funeral home, debuted in North America as part of the Latin Cinema Series.
AFI said Thursday that a record level of business transpired through films represented at AFI and AFM, with 56 titles represented at both events including "Vitus," "Danika," "Grbavica," "White Palms," "Dark Corners," "Screamers," "Life After Tomorrow," "The Lives of Others," "The Host" and "Honor de cavalleria."
