Daytime strip notched its best-ever November sweeps ratings last month, surging 27% over its year-ago Nielsen numbers. Sweeps period was the first for the show since O'Donnell joined in September.
Overall, "The View" averaged a 1.7 rating in the key demo of women 18-49, making it the No. 4 show in all of daytime.
"The View" also scored record ratings in the total viewer category, attracting an average aud of 3.4 million viewers -- up 15% vs. the same frame in 2005.
Nielsen surge for "The View" is all the more impressive given the overall downward trend for most daytime skeins.
Separately, on the cable front, the premiere of MTV's "Twentyfourseven," a real-life version of "Entourage," didn't look so hot Wednesday night.
Skein delivered 1.28 million total viewers (1.2/4 in the target people 12-34 demo) at 10:30, dropping more than half of its lead-in audience. The 10 p.m. episode of "The Real World: Denver" that preceded "Twentyfourseven" scored 2.96 million viewers overall (2.7/9 in 12-34).
