Picturehouse topper Bob Berney said the Marblestone hire came because he wanted to "add a management layer" as the firm prepares for a busy release schedule. Marketing staff will report to Marblestone, who will report to Berney.
Company is prepping for the holiday release of Guillermo del Toro's genre-bending "Pan's Labyrinth" as well as next summer's release of Jennifer Lopez starrer "El Cantante," among others.
O'Connor was working at HBO Films when Picturehouse was launched, and became its exec veep of marketing, based in L.A. Company also has an exec veep of marketing based in Gotham, Marian Koltai-Levine, who came from Fine Line.
Marblestone and Berney have worked together before on campaigns for Berney pics. At Media First he built campaigns for Newmarket and IFC Films, both former Berney employers.
