BANGKOK -- Thai mobile content company MovieSeer has pacted with Japanese animation house Tokyopop to distrib manga content in Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Deal covers 60 Tokyopop wireless manga properties including "Princess Ai," "@Large" and "Shutterbox," which will be distribbed via mobile networks as graphic images, audio and video content and games.

There is "huge potential in providing an alternative to manga comic fans where they are no longer limited to the usual books and magazines but are now able to store and read manga on their portable devices," said Movieseer CEO Roy D. Chapin IV.

L.A.- and Tokyo-based Tokyopop's manga and anime operations span comicbooks to movies.

It recently opened offices in the U.K. and Germany and struck partnerships in China and Australia.
