MGM weak for 'Weeks'

Pic slated for release on Dec. 1

MGM has acquired worldwide rights to the feature film "Two Weeks," starring Sally Field, Ben Chaplin and Tom Cavanagh.

Pic, the writing and directorial debut of Steve Stockman, is slated for a domestic release on Dec. 1.

Julianne Nicholson, Glenn Howerton and Clea DuVall also star.

In "Two Weeks," four siblings rush home for what they think is a last goodbye to their very sick mother. When she lingers, they find themselves trapped together for two weeks.

Pic was financed by private investors and produced by Stockman and John Marias. Casting director Pam Dixon co-produced. Paul Brian Anderson, David Gang, Curt Hahn and Scott Mahalick exec produce.
