Previous pics in the trilogy are "Fire" (1996) and "Earth" (1998). All the films look at issues that affect the lives of Hindu women, with "Fire" considering sexuality, "Earth" consid-ering nationalism and "Water" looking at the dehumanization of women by religion.
The deal was negotiated between sales agent Celluloid Dreams, producer David Hamilton, executive producer Doug Mankoff and Metrodome's Peter Urie, Sara Frain and Kate Falconer.
Fox Searchlight released "Water" in the U.S. in April 2006 where it has become the all time, all Hindi language, highest grossing film in North America with a box office total of over $5 million.
Metrodome plans a June release for "Water."
The indie distrib's forthcoming slate includes psychological horror "Them," French war epic "Days of Glory" and Sarah Polley's directorial debut "Away from Her."
