Along with Bundy -- who plays Elle, the role essayed by Reese Witherspoon in the 2001 pic -- the ensemble includes Christian Borle ("Monty Python's Spamalot") as the man who wins Elle's heart; Orfeh ("The Great American Trailer Park Musical") as hairdresser Paulette; and Kate Shindle as Elle's brunette nemesis, Vivienne.
With music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and book by Heather Hach, "Blonde" tries out in San Francisco in early 2007. In Gotham, the Jerry Mitchell-helmed production starts previews at the Palace April 3 for an April 29 opening.
