DVD bow moved to respect informal three-month window

Italo exhibbers have won their fight to get Universal Pictures Italia not to release "Miami Vice" on DVD in Italy in December, just two months after its theatrical release.

Universal will hold the pic until January, respecting the informal three-month window between theatrical and homevid release.

On Thursday exhib body ANEC and multiplex org. ANEM both protested vigorously about the December release date, and several chains, including top plex player Warner Village Cinemas, retaliated by pulling "Vice" from their screens.
