'Cleaner' is sparkling for Jackson

Harlin will direct from Aldrich script

Samuel L. Jackson is set to topline crime thriller "Cleaner," which Anonymous Content is producing for Millennium Films.

Renny Harlin will direct from a script by Matthew Aldrich.

It's the first time that Anonymous Content ("Babel," "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind") and Millennium have partnered on a project, with Millennium putting up the coin.

Storyline revolves around a man who specializes in cleaning up crime scenes and is drawn into a mystery when he cleans up the evidence at a murder before the killing is reported.

Producers are Jackson and Anonymous Content's Steve Golin, Alix Madigan and Paul Green. Anonymous' Eli Selden and the Firm's Julie Yorn are exec producing.

Jackson, who is currently shooting "Jumper," will next be seen in Irwin Winkler's Iraqi war drama "Home of the Brave," which MGM releases in a limited run on Dec. 15. He also stars in the upcoming "Black Snake Moan" and "1408."

Harlin most recently directed "The Covenant" and "Exorcist: The Beginning."
