Focus Features has acquired "Hunted by Their Families," a project about family honor killings among Muslims in Britain and other European countries, and is developing it as a feature.
British director Amma Asante is attached to write and direct the film.
Asante won a BAFTA Award for directing "A Way of Life," a hard-hitting pic about a single mother and racism that earned buzz at the Toronto Film Festival in 2004.
Kahli Small is overseeing "Hunted" for Focus. No producers are yet known to have joined the project.
