"The Da Vinci Code," "The Legend of Zorro" and "Fun With Dick and Jane" are among the pics available through the service, which bowed Monday.
U.K. customers can download pics to keep from Lovefilm.com, in which Arts Alliance Media is a major stockholder. They also will get a copy to play on compatible portable devices and a DVD in the mail.
"The emergence of new ways to distribute our movies is critically important to our business," said SPTI exec veep of European distribution Stuart Baxter.
Move builds on a download-to-rent agreement SPTI inked this year with Arts Alliance Media.
