Randi Michel has been named East Coast head of talent for the William Morris Agency. The promotion was made by CEO Jim Wiatt.

Michel, longtime rep of Queen Latifah and her production company Flavor Unit Entertainment, also works with John Travolta, Terrence Howard, Morgan Freeman and his Revelations Entertainment, Jennifer Lopez and "Weeds" creator Jenji Kohan.

She earned her stripes in WMA's Beverly Hills headquarters, where she started in the mailroom. Michel moved to WMA's New York outpost a year ago. Michel will work closely with West Coast-based Gaby Morgerman, who's WMA's head of worldwide talent operations.

"Randi has already made significant contributions to the overall success of the agency, and now in her new role she will guide this department and make it even more responsive to our New York-based clients and to the industry as a whole," Wiatt said.
