The Hospital Club, a trendy TV and music studios space and private members club over seven floors in London's Covent Garden, is behind the kudos bash.
Wright, BAFTA-winning director of "Pride & Prejudice" and the upcoming "Atonement," was selected by a panel of judges including producers Eric Fellner, Matthew Vaughn and Nira Park.
In accepting the award, Wright agrees to take part in the Hospital's wide-reaching mentoring scheme.
The Hospital aims to foster creative industry collaboration. The other eight award categories were interactive media, music, TV, contemporary art & design, books, publishing & journalism, theater and advertising.
The prizes were dished out at an informal dinner for 130 guests in London on Oct. 3.
