TNT has greenlit production on crime-drama pilot "The Line-Up," from writer-exec producer William Finkelstein ("NYPD Blue") and Warner Horizon Television.
Rocky Carroll ("Invasion"), Tia Texada ("Third Watch") and John Heard ("Prison Break") topline the hourlong procedural. Each episode begins with the suspects in a police lineup, then unfolds the story and the crime in reverse.
John Dahl ("Rounders") will direct the pilot, written by Finkelstein and Thomas Hines.
Lawrence Bender, Kevin Brown and Hines are in negotiations to produce. Production begins this month.
Warner Bros. TV originally developed "The Line-Up," which had previously been set up at Fox with Bender Brown Prods. and John McNamara producing.
"The Line-Up" is one of several pilots TNT is considering for a 2007 series pickup. Others are "Heartland," starring Treat Williams as a surgeon in the high-stakes world of heart transplant surgery, and "Grace," toplining Holly Hunter as a jaded Oklahoma City detective who is visited by an angel and offered the chance to redeem her life.
