Scribe will make his directorial debut on the Furst Films drama about a woman still traumatized by the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter 15 years ago. When she meets a troubled young woman, her pain resurfaces along with the hope that the woman may be her missing child.
Furst Films partners Sean and Bryan Furst are producing. Film is being financed by RGM Holdings along with Chip Rosenbloom, latter of whom will also receive producer credit.
Shooting is pegged to start in November in New York.
Weaver next stars in the Truman Capote biopic "Infamous" for Warner Independent, followed by "The TV Set" for ThinkFilm. She recently wrapped "Vantage Point" for Columbia Pictures.
Bosworth was last seen as Lois Lane in Warner Bros. Pictures' "Superman Returns."
Auburn, who won a Pulitzer for "Proof," penned the script for "The Lake House," starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
Furst Films produced "The Matador" and "The Cooler" and next has "First Snow" in theaters from the Yari Film Group.
Weaver and Bosworth are repped by UTA. Bosworth is additionally repped by JJ Harris at One Talent Management.
