NBC's Brian Williams reclaimed the top spot in the evening news ratings last week, but the addition of Katie Couric at CBS has created a three-way tie for the 25-54 demo.

CBS' "Evening News" has been losing viewers since the debut of Couric more than two weeks ago. Last week her aud dropped 18% over the course of the week, and she was down 24% from her first-week average.

NBC's "Nightly News" won each night in total viewers last week and finished the week averaging 8.18 million, good for first place over CBS' "Evening News," with 7.69 million and ABC's "World News," with 7.58 million.

A mere 600,000 viewers separated first- from third-place last week, but the difference between CBS' Couric and ABC's Charles Gibson is an especially tight 110,000 viewers. Worrisome for CBS is that Couric is slipping while Gibson is gaining.

In the 25-54 demographic, the only viewers that advertisers pay for, all three nets tied with a 2.1 rating.
