Thesp rings in 'Spring'

Estabrook joins cast on B'way

Christine Estabrook will round out the cast of the Broadway incarnation of "Spring Awakening." Thesp, who played Mrs. Huber on "Desperate Housewives," portrays a variety of female authority figures in the tuner about teenagers confronting sex and death.

Multicharacter part was played by Mary McCann during the musical's hit run at the Atlantic Theater over the summer.

Estabrook ("The Sisters Rosensweig") joins Stephen Spinella ("Angels in America"), who replaces Frank Wood as the musical's only other adult actor, and a young ensemble that includes Jonathan Groff, Lea Michele and John Gallagher Jr. Adapted from the 1891 Frank Wedekind play by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, "Spring" begins perfs at the Eugene O'Neill Nov. 16.
