Cassidy recently beat out Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan for the role of Lucy Ewing in the redo of "Dallas" for Regency Enterprises and 20th Century Fox.
In "Nerds," she'll play Suzy Stone, head of the Pi Delta Pi sorority and queen of the campus. Adam Jay Epstein, Adam Goldberg and Andrew Jacobson penned the script. McG is producing and David Manpearl. Adam Brody, Bret Harrison and D. Scott Lumpkin co-produce.
Cassidy next will be seen playing another sorority girl in the horror pic "Black Christmas" for Dimension Films and MGM.
