Warner Bros. Pictures has preemptively snapped up film rights to Jed Rubenfeld's historical crime mystery "Interpretation of Murder."
Tome opens up as Sigmund Freud and protege Carl Jung visit New York in 1909, where a mad killer preys on the young beauties of high society.
Storyline revolves around a young psychoanalyst and devotee of Freud's who is called in to consult when one of the women attacked survives, but is unable to speak or remember what happened.
Book, published by Henry Holt & Co., hit the stands earlier this month to strong reviews, particularly for its historical detail. It has been compared to Caleb Carr's "The Alienist" and Matthew Pearl's "The Dante Club."
