Universal has lined up the voice talent for its computer-animated pic "The Tale of Despereaux," including Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Kline, William H. Macy, Stanley Tucci and Sigourney Weaver.
Also cast in the pic are Robbie Coltrane, Ciaran Hinds, Christopher Lloyd, Justin Long and Tracey Ullman.
Pic will be released in theaters during the 2008 holiday season.
"The Tale of Despereaux" is the adaptation of Kate DiCamillo's Newbery Medal-winning children's book about one small mouse's quest to change a kingdom forever.
Pic is directed by Mike Johnson and produced by Gary Ross and Allison Thomas under their Larger Than Life Prods. banner.
Ross adapted "The Tale of Despereaux" for the bigscreen. Animation will be created by Framestore CFC ("Superman Returns," "X-Men: The Last Stand").
