Joel Schumacher is setting his sights on the supernatural, signing on to direct Gold Circle Films' "Town Creek." Lionsgate is distributing domestically.

Gold Circle prexy Paul Brooks is producing with 3 Arts Entertainment's Tom Lassally and Madhouse Entertainment's Robyn Meisinger. Gold Circle's Scott Niemeyer and Norm Waitt executive produce with shingle's Zak Kadison, who brought the project in and will serve as co-producer. Mandate Pictures is handling foreign sales.
Schumacher is in post-production on the Jim Carrey starrer "The Number 23" for New Line Cinema.
Kajganich's credits include the upcoming Warner Bros. pic "The Visiting" starring Nicole Kidman. Earlier this year, scribe was named one of
Variety's Ten Screenwriters to Watch.
Gold Circle is in production on "How I Met My Boyfriend's Dead Fiance" and prepping "My Sassy Girl" for an October start.
Lionsgate's upcoming release slate includes docus "The U.S. v. John Lennon" and "Deliver Us From Evil," and features "Employee of the Month," "Saw III" and "Bug."
