Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. is planning to buy one of Poland's leading film production studios, Warsaw-based Czolowka, according to reports in the Polish press.

Move follows Murdoch's recent acquisition of a 48.98% stake in the Polish net TV Puls.

The formerly state-owned Czolowka was founded in 1958. It boasts an extensive library of documentaries and feature films, and its 883,000 square feet of land offer ample opportunity to expand its facilities.

Polish newspaper Gazeta Wybrocza said News Corp. also has expressed interest in Polish film and TV studio WFDiF.

Reps for News Corp. and Czolowka were not available for comment.
